NICE JOB LADY HOUNDS!/LET'S SUPPORT THE TEAMS EVERYONE

It was a great weekend for UINDY as we got off to our best start ever!!! The Greyhounds traveled to West Virginia to take on the top two teams in the WVICA. The hounds featured nine different players in our line-up which proved to be too much to handle for West Liberty as they fell by a score of 9-0. In the afternoon match, Charleston showed that they had a few more weapons as they claimed victories at #1 singles and finally at #2 doubles after coming from way behind and winning a tie-break. But UINDY was too strong as we held on to win in straight sets in every other match and recordede a 7-2 victory.

These are important victories for the Greyhounds because of the three conferences in our region, only 8 teams will qualify for the NCAA tournament. And three of those bids will be earned automatically by each conference champion. So by establishing dominance over the two best teams in the WVICA conference, Uindy has shown that they are worthy of picking up where they left off last season with a #4 ranking.

We are working to build our momentum through our fall schedule and will work hard during the winter to do what it takes to record our best season in history..

Great turn-out at the courts tonight for "pack the stands night" at Uindy. That was so much fun! We had over 75 people come out and welcome the Uindy Men's team back for their first practice. ATTENTION HIGH OCTANE JUNIORS!!!
We will not have training camp this morning because of the rain.

THANKS TO MR. GARNER AND MR. OSBORNE FOR HELPING OUT AT OUR ROCKING THURSDAY CAMP!! That was a fun way to spend the day! A little sand volleyball (Brittany; stick to tennis!), a little soccer, a little home run derby (way to knock it out of the park Haley!), and a lot of TENNIS!! We had some great matches including the marathon match between Madelyn Irmer and Joe Gervasio. That was fun to watch!!
Thanks for the great attitude from all of the kids and all of the support from the parents, we could not do any of this with out you. Austin Hall--thanks for all of your help! You are a bonus to this program!!

We will see all of you next week.

This is the last week of the spring session. What a great 6 weeks! We could not have been luckier with the weather. If you have any make-ups to get in, do it this week. Summer session begins the week of June 4th. Make sure you are signed up! This is the time to really tune up your game!
